Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:
 
§ Provide support to HQ 9th AF/USAFCENT by integrating system, security, network, and database administrators for these LAN systems:  AFSN/GCCS/SIPRNET. 
§ Provide computer resources, technical support, and services and integration technical services and support in the following primary task areas.
§ Provide Network Administration support of the GCCS LAN to include servers, workstations, switches, routers, and firewalls.
§ Conduct periodic evaluation of GCCS LAN to optimize configuration of integrated components, including fault isolation and reconfiguration as required
§ Provide Database administrator support of GCCS relational database management systems to include, account access, compacting, backups, and other daily RDBMS DBA support.
§ Support client workstations and PCs used on the GCCS network in the Crisis Action Center (CAC) and Operations Planning Area.
§ Apply authorized software patches and upgrades in support of the GCCS Defense Information Infrastructure Common Operating Environment operating systems.
§ Working Group Technical Software and System Engineering Support Tasks.
Required Qualifications:
 
There is no experience replacement for the certifications.
MCSE, UNIX CERT, MCP WIN20XX OR VISTA WKS, MS Office Comms Svr,
 
Typically requires bachelor's degree (in Computer Science, Math, Electrical Engineering or related field) and seven to nine years of related experience.
