Job Description

We are currently phone interviewing as we assemble a team of 20 Configuration Management Specialists to support the FBI in Clarksburg West Va.  These will be long term projects, and will require the team to all be based in Clarksburg ( North Central) WV.  All positions require an Active Top Secret clearance , verifiable in JPAS.  These positions will be as salaried, perm. employee ones to the Prime Vendor that is supporting the FBI client, or as W2 consulting ones.

• Perform administrative maintenance of the CJIS Division CM tools to include

IBM Rational ClearCase, ClearQuest, and Borland’s StarTeam and the servers on

which they reside for the various CJIS Division systems.

 

• Elicit requirements, design, develop, test, and implementation of new change

management process into the CM tools for projects transitioning to CJIS as well

as converting internal processes into the automated CM tools.

 

• Integrate Microsoft Office applications with ClearQuest to meet internal

stakeholder needs.

 

• Provide monthly ClearQuest user training and ongoing Help Desk support for CM

Tools System administration of servers on which CM tools reside.

 

• Maintain Operating System upgrades/patches, application software upgrades, and

routine backups O&M CM support for SoS systems to establish enhancement and

maintenance baselines, perform software builds, witness and perform and/or assist

with Non-Operational Environment and Operational Environment baseline

installations.

 

• Support CM Oversight for new IT development Projects/Programs to provide

advice and assistance to projects/programs throughout the project lifecycle

phases.

 

• Support maintenance of Enterprise CM Library and associated databases.

 

• Perform maintenance of automated scripts to capture and report CM data for

status accounting reporting and automate Version Description Document

reporting capabilities.

 

• Provide 24 hour on-call CM support, as needed. Recommend and incorporate

CM Plan revisions and implement CM procedures and methodologies in

coordination with Office of the Chief Information Officer to support the FBI IT

Enterprise IT CMP, FBI IT Life Cycle Management requirements, Capability

Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) and other industry standards.

 

• Support the FBI in analyzing current operations to provide recommendations,

organizational guidance and industry best practices for improvement of CM

policies and procedures.

 

• Provide Enterprise CM Oversight for IT development programs and projects;

establishing and maintaining CM Plan, Policy, procedures, and process

improvement; conducting development program/project-level baseline audits; and

conducting project Functional Configuration Audit/Physical Configuration

Audits.

 

• Conduct oversight of the Program/Project to ensure compliance with the

organization’s life cycle management directive.

 

Skills

• Minimum five years of CM or related experience.​
  Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline and/​or equivalent experience; Knowledge of life cycle development models;

  Expertise in CM; Experience with MS Office, Word, Excel, and Power Point; Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

  Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple assignments;

  Self motivated, well organized, and can work with limited direction;

  Experience and/​or strong knowledge of CM standards and models (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, American National Standards Institute, Department of Defense, Software Engineering Institute, CMMI, Information Technology Infrastructure Library, etc.​);

  Experience with automated tools IBM Rational ClearCase, ClearQuest, and Borland’s StarTeam.​
