Summary


The US Defense and Intelligence Sales Manager will be responsible for identifying and growing sales opportunities for the Defense & Intelligence Business Unit. This opportunity requires an individual with a proven track record in outreach to the military and intelligence communities, defense contractors and federal civil consumers of geospatial information. Ideally the candidate will have experience as a federal employee or military member of a DoD or Intelligence- Community organization. This position will be located in our WashingtonD.C. office.


Key Responsibilities


·        Participates in all facets of demand generation, opportunity identification, GeoInt solution development, proposal construction, contract execution and ongoing customer relations.


·        Aggressively seek out new business opportunities for DigitalGlobe in the US Defense and  Intelligence community.   Influence buying behavior in the D&I Geospatial Intelligence customer segment.


·         Communicate internally and externally across a broad set of stakeholders


·         Identify end user requirements


·         Lead ad-hoc, multi-disciplined teams through successful sales campaign 


Education


Bachelor's degree required, Masters degree preferred 


Work Experience 


5-7 years general sales and sales management experience


5-7 years sales experience in US Defense & Intelligence community, ideally with the GeoInt customer segment

Skills

  • Technical Knowledge/Skills:


    GIS industry knowledge is highly desired especially as it relates to imagery intelligence or defense mapping


    Technical competence with computer hardware and software systems


    Interpersonal Skills and Abilities:


    Able to multi-task


    Comfortable working in a team-oriented environment


    Excellent listening, comprehension, and interpersonal skills


    Effective problem-solving and analytical abilities


    Detail-oriented
