Summary

The Manager, Collection Planning (CP) Engineering is responsible for coordinating the activities of CP Engineering personnel and for facilitating interactions between the Operations team, Mission Analysis team, Simulations team and the Business group.  The Manager will balance workloads within the Engineering Group, ensuring the team is successful in its mission to develop operational support tools, provide operations engineering support to operators within the department and in adjacent departments, engage systems engineering to ensure operational needs are met and user acceptance test new system builds.  The Manager will also ensure the team provides needed support to program management and broad operations engineering within DigitalGlobe.  In this capacity the Manager must ensure with CP Management that the team is working to a common set of short and long term priorities.

The Manager is also the senior point of contact for inter-departmental exchanges with counterpart organizations in the Software Development, Systems Engineering, Operations and Production areas.  As such the Manager needs to ensure that communication lines are kept open and consistent with those groups.

 

Responsibilities

·        Lead Constellation Scheduling Solution Implementation

·        Department Change Coordinator to the Change Control Process

·        Ensure adequate support resources are assigned to shift personnel

·        Coordinate and support CP system requirements, development, and documentation

·        Maintain clear Project Change Request lists and status

·        Ensure CP Engineering team meets project and operational milestones

 

Requirements

·        Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other technical field

·        Experience with Collection Planning systems and processes

·        Experience with simulations and mission analysis

·        Familiarity with DigitalGlobe corporate objectives and priorities

·        US citizenship

·        Currently hold or ability to obtain US Government clearance (TS/SCI)

·        Travel may be required
