General Dynamics Information Technology has an immediate opening for a Systems Administrator to work at the Air Force Personnel Center (AFPC) HQ supporting Air and Space Expeditionary Force Operations, Randolph AFB, Texas. The applicant will be part of a team whose main responsibility is maintaining classified and unclassified servers running Windows 20032008 Server operating systems providing web, file, print, database, clustering and virtualization services supporting AEF operations. The applicant will maintain Windows Terminal Servers with Citrix XenApp Enterprise and WYSE Device Manager on a classified network. The applicant will identify any hardwaresoftware deficiencies and communicate them to management. The applicant will make recommendations to upgrade equipment or software. The applicant will apply security patches to servers using BladeLogic Operations Manager and may conduct system scans using eyeRetina. Position requires knowledge of SQL and IIS. Applicant will be responsible for server backups and restores and maintain a disaster recovery plan using EMCs Replistor andor EMC RecoverPoint. Manages unclassified and classified Storage Area Networks (SANs) using EMC Navisphere and Enterprise Control Center. Position may require 247 on-call availability. Applicant will provide some assistance with the desktop support function that requires knowledge of account management and troubleshooting skills. B.S. Computer ScienceTechnology or Computer Information Systems or six years work experience Required Skills and experience: 4 years experience administering Windows 20032008 server networks. 2 years experience with SQL Server and IIS. Experience with Windows Terminal Services in Application Mode, TCPIP utilities and working knowledge of Microsoft Office XP suite. Familiarity with SIPRNET and NIPRNET LAN environments to include security requirements (EMSEC, OPSEC, INFOSEC)Microsoft, A+, Security+, and Network+ certificationsPrior USAF system administrator experienceTACLANE familiarity (or DOD-equivalent encryptors)Network Infrastructure experience including Cisco Router and Routable SwitchesSecret clearance required, must be a US Citizen.
