Weapons TECHINT (WTI) Analyst (deployable)

Job Description

Training and pre-deployment preparation will occur in Charlottesville, VA prior to initial deployment to Afghanistan.  Duration of each deployment is a minimum of 6 months.  Deployment is required for a minimum of 6 months every 18 months but additional deployment time is possible.  Charlottesville, VA will remain the continual report location when not deployed. 

Work as a member of a government-contractor team supporting the Counter-IED Targeting Program (CITP). Conduct pattern, TTP, and trend analysis of IED devices in Iraq and Afghanistan. Maintain data bases and compare and contrast information from multiple sources, utilizing current analytical tools. Modify and create necessary data files and manipulate data to develop responses to all-source taskings. Provide subject matter expertise and analysis in the areas of Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) and CBRNE to support a Joint Fusion Center. Enhance/develop processes of collecting information and identifying methods of categorization of data. Identify emerging threats and analyze historical trends, fusing multiple sources/forms of intelligence data together in order to support counter-IED efforts. Present briefings on a wide variety of intelligence products to general officers and senior government officials. Work closely with the Combined Explosives Exploitation Cell (CEXC), Weapons Intelligence Teams (WIT) and the FBI's Terrorist Explosives Division Analytical Center (TEDAC).
Core hours are 0600-1800, however, personnel must be prepared to provide support 24 hour/7 day-a-week (24/7) crisis and operations locally and on other periodic deployments. May have to work in shifts.

Skills

• REQUIREMENTS:

  - Must hold an active TS/SCI level government security clearance
  - Minimum of 3 years of analytical experience in IED TTPs in Iraq or Afghanistan
  - Knowledge of IED types and characteristics
  - Experience performing TECHINT analysis to provide actionable intelligence to warfighters
  - Familiarity and previous use of analytical tools such as Pathfinder, WEBTAS, Analytical Notebook, DCGS-A, GIS tools, M3, geospatial and data mining tools
  - Prior Iraq / Afghanistan deployment experience
